4 Unusual Uses for Aloe Vera Gel

Aloe vera gel is commonly used for soothing sunburns, but it has some other beauty care applications as well.

Aloe vera is rich in vitamins C and E as well as beta carotene, which is a pre-cursor to vitamin A.  These are key nutrients for helping to improve the appearance of our skin.

Aloe vera has been shown to be effective for treating wounds by increasing the blood supply to the wound and stimulating healing activities of the skin (scab formation).  Additionally, aloe vera has anti-mircobial properties that can fight against infection from viruses, bacteria, and fungus.

2. Treat Acne

The anti-microbial properties of aloe vera gel can help alleviate acne by inhibiting the growth of bacteria that causes blemishes and inflammation.

3. Eyebrow Gel

Apply some aloe vera gel to an eyebrow brush and gently brush your eyebrows into a nice shape. The aloe vera gel will help hold the shape of your brows.

4. Aftershave Treatment

Aloe vera gel can be applied to the skin as an aftershave treatment to help moisturize the skin and soothe those little scrapes and cuts.
